DIRECTIONS OF THE PROGRAM:»CONSTRUCTION OF WELLS ON THE SHELF OF THE SEAS AND OCEANS», «DRILLING RIGS FOR DRILLING WELLS ON THE SHELF»
Russia is one of the few countries where significant hydrocarbon reserves are located not only on land, but also on the shelf of the seas and oceans. This includes the shelf of the seas of the Arctic Ocean (Arctic Sea), the seas of the Pacific Ocean (is.Sakhalin), the shelf of the inner seas (Caspian, Black). It should be noted that their reserves far exceed the reserves of hydrocarbon deposits (already developed and processed) on land. This is confirmed by information about scientific studies of the Mendeleev and Lomonosov deflections.
Here we can talk about the manifestations of gas, and this is pure methane in the Black, Kara and other seas. Even the poems of K. Chukovsky serve as proof of this «… And the chanterelles took matches, went to the blue sea, lit the blue sea. The sea is burning with flames…».
The development of these deposits requires the development of new equipment, tools, materials, technologies and technical means that are completely different from drilling on land. At the same time, the main attention and requirements should be paid to the preservation of the environmental situation in the drilling area.
The justification for this is not only that the work is being carried out in the borders of the Russian state, but also that these seas and oceans are located on the borders of neighboring states — Turkey, Ukraine, Norway, Japan, etc. which also have their own interests in hydrocarbon reserves.
Taking into account the rich experience in the development of various technologies and technical means that have found practical application when drilling wells on land, it was decided to extend it when drilling offshore seas and oceans. There are certain reasons for this: DrillSim-5000, DrillSim-20 drilling rigs have been prepared for the installation of DrillSim-600 and Landmark, Petroleum software with new computer equipment, it should be noted that the latter mainly use the rotary drilling method, which is typical for foreign oil and gas producing enterprises. Hence, most of the governing documents, instructions, and regulatory bodies are set out in English and communication with the latter is also accepted in it.
Taking this into account, the teaching of masters is also planned in English, for this purpose, relevant educational and methodological materials have already been published, in particular, the textbook «Features of the construction of wells on the shelf of the seas and oceans», «Hydraulic fracturing of productive formations», etc., which are translated or translated into English. It is planned to involve students in the translation of other publications.
